Introduction

Hello and welcome to the Bommersbach for Beltrami webpage. Thank you for taking the time to stop in and understand why I have chosen to run for District 2. Let me provide you with a bit of background information about myself.

I was born and raised in Twin Valley Minnesota to Steve and Kim Bommersbach. They have been an endless source of support and have had a great impact on who I am as a person. I watched my dad work tirelessly to run a business, represent the people of Norman County district five (for 28 years in 2024), and yet never miss a sporting event or concert. I watched my mom display a love for teaching K-12 music, manage to run a home, and demonstrate daily what devotion to your family looks like.

I have one sibling, a younger brother (Aaron), who currently lives in the Bagley area with his wife Cassie. I have been fortunate to have a close relationship with my brother. He is a great friend and an even better human.

I attended college at Valley City State University in Valley City North Dakota. I graduated in 2012 with degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and Health Science. It was during my time at Valley City that I met my wife, Kristine. There are not enough words to describe what she means to me. She is an amazing wife and mother, she will make any endeavor to achieve her goals, and she has the largest heart of any person I have ever met.

In May of 2013 I accepted a position with the State of Minnesota as a food, pools, and lodging inspector based here in Bemidji. In July of that same year Kristine and I married and have made our home here in Bemidji ever since.

In April of 2016, our first daughter Ainsley was born. Eight years later and she has just completed 2nd grade. Where does the time go? She loves to learn and is active in piano and summer rec soccer.

In July of 2019, our second daughter Aoife was born. Now 5, she keeps us on our toes with her great sense of humor and endless thirst for adventure. She loves music, horses, butterflies, and sparkles.

In October of 2022, our third child and first son Arwyn was born. He is adventurous, curious, and extremely high energy. He already has a love for the outdoors and will play with any ball in sight.

I have truly enjoyed every minute of my time spent living in Beltrami County. I believe it is one of the most unique places you could call home. Since moving here I have learned how to harvest wild rice, spent time kayaking on beautiful lakes, taught my girls to fish, explored Bemidji State Park and other forests, shopped in Bemidji's bustling downtown, and met many people from all walks of life. I am truly grateful to this county and community for the opportunities it provides my family and I. This is why I'm running. I want to ensure that Beltrami County is the best place to live, have a family, or even start a business. Not just for my family, but yours as well.
